Incense Sticks & Cones

How to light...
Hold a match or light under the tip of the incense stick or cone. When the tip starts to glow red, blow out the flame.

Fresh Incense cones are sometimes hard to keep lit (especially when the environment is wet, humid, and/or cold). In order to burn, the cones need to be warmed properly. To combat this problem, light the tip of the cone then place it in an incense burner. Allow the flame to travel down to the bottom of the cone, for approximately 1 min. before gently blowing it out. The tip of the cone will still be glowing and the body of the cone will be warm so it should now burn perfectly. Sometimes taking a pliers and holding the cone upside down so the entire cone gets heated for about 1 min. (you will see the oil come to the surface) then blowing out at the tip will help as well.

Note...
Since Incense are made fresh, we recommend putting them in a burner/holder before you light them. With good circulation, you'll be able to smell them before you even light them.

Caution...
As with any product that use fire, always be cautious of where you burn an incense. A lit incnese stick or cone is extremly hot. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Never leave any incense product burning unattended.

Sage / Smudging

Smudging (burning sage) is a ritual that originated from Native American tradition for healing, clearing and it's sometimes used in religious ceremonies. The original meaning of the ritual was that the rising smoke carried the request to Spirit. Now-a-days, Sage is often used to remove household odors, and is said to alleviate airborne germs as well. Native Americans burned sage to clear both mind and home. Smudging is the act of clearing and releasing negative energy. Many people use it before you move into a new house.
